Iraq roadside bomb picked up my hummer and threw it about 30 feet into a side of a building. Two of us died, myself and another lived. He faired better but I lost part of my left leg. A portion of my leg is made of aircraft aluminum, which is insanely strong and lightweight. I can drive a semi (van or reefer) but not a stick. So my question is>>>>>
Where can I go on the east coast and still drive an Automatic? Ive been with western express, and did fine but my miles went into the toilet after a few months. My CSA is zero, DMV is spotless, background is clean. Anyone know who I can apply to who will give me an auto to run? I know about Maverick and Averitt but who else? Anyone?
Need an Automatic! Iraq I.E.D. blew off part of my leg

Seems to me that would qualify as a "reasonable accommodation" under the ADA...and there might even be grant $ available from the VA or one of the many private charities that help wounded vets so that even a smaller carrier could put you to work for them. In other words, do a little research to find out what is there to help and then work with a QUALITY company. Don't settle for a bottom-feeder just because they have automatics.
Thanks for your service. -
