I am changing the air compressor (brake air supply) on my 6NZ C15. I am changing the flange spacer as well since I broke the old one trying to get it off. On the flange spacer there was an O ring type seal on either side. The dealer sold me one O ring and said there was one in the package with the "new" compressor. In the package there was a fiber gasket with a thin strip of some soft material on both sides, but no O ring. Can I use this fiber gasket instead of the O ring? or do I need and O ring on both sides of the flange?. Please help if you can. Thanks.
Need c15 air compressor help in a hurry

I just did mine a few months back.
Same deal.
It bolted up fine with just the new gasket. No problems.silver dollar Thanks this. -
Ditto, the gasket will work.

I pinched that paper gasket at the bottom setting the compressor back in, so it leaked. Had to come back, tear it all a part to put the proper $12 metal flange gasket in. Time well wasted! CAT/Bendix should just include it/upcharge or what ever to get it in the box the first time at the parts counter.
