Best advice you could give this friend is that this is an absolute horrible idea. Even if he was going to save money on shipping cars by having his own hauling business (very unlikely) he would be starting a brand new authority with very very expensive overhead and placing all the risk on himself. Any enclosed car hauler worth hiring will command six figure income of course and if he plans on hiring just any cdl driver off the street with no experience he is really asking for it.

Call reliable carriers or any other decent company. Rates out of Florida are usually on the cheap side and all the risk is on them if the worst were to happen

[IMG]if its this one, there's a lot of info on the net; a friend of mine quit them and went to LS around a year ago, and it was all about settlements, no details known. Sorry.

Not to rain on your parade but long before I would put a rare car or race car which I've see both costing over $1,000,000.00 each. I would want you to move some common freight to get you some experience long before you touch the high end expensive stuff. I own 2 4 car roll backs and 5 stinger trucks and have enough experience to know I should leave the Hauling to my team. They are way more qualified than I and we move several hundred cars every week. The damage that can be done could end this little thought quickly. Good luck.

Thank you for responding but I flat out told them I've never done that type of work but I'm no cowboy and hope they wouldn't put me right into those high high end cars but if they did I'm confident in my ability and I'm sure that based on how they felt once they meet me and look at my 37 yr record and the fact I've leased with basically 3 company's over 30 yrs I'm no leap frog but I agree let me get my feet wet before u put me out there with the big dogs
