Would like some experienced advice on this, I asked my DBL how can I maximize my miles and pay without having to do a 34 hr reset and he suggested that that I try doing a 7 & 9 instead of the 11 & 14. Anyone having success with this ? Does this mean drive 7 then stop for 10 then repeat without regards to the time of day meaning i may end up rotating my driving time between night and day or just run the 7 during the day and take my 10 hrs down at night .I know it wont be exactly 7 due to shipping and receiving schedules but there must be a way to get some kind of handle on this. I have been running hard everyday and burning up my 70 and then sitting for 34 and I hate sitting since it's not at home! Thanks for the input.

Do you just run daytime and sleep at night or revolving? Do you sometimes have to park for the 10 hrs on ramps or cut it short if neede so that you can park at truck or rest stops ?

BBL'S Don't have a clue. They are there to play God. You have to run with the load you have. When does it have to be delivered, or received. You can't just set hours to run and stay with those hours. If you want to maximize, yoou'll have to run the most loads you can in 70. That's when you start backing off, or restarting.

    RickG Thanks this.

Normally you will have enough time to deliver on time bu you may have to run as hard as you can one or teo days, and then ease up, if you get too many hours before the 8 days, you may benefit from taking a 34 hour reset, which is an extra day off plus the ten hours on lines 1 and/or 2.

It's not that bad if you have been running hard.

That makes no sense . Resetting gives you more running hours in a week . It wouldn't bother me at all to start Monday , run 5 14 hour days , and reset on the weekend . In fact I usually do reset at home on weekends . Why would you want to run every day of the week ?

Yeah that was my thinking in order to make the most miles possible, its hard to spend 34 in a truck that won't idle past 5 minutes the power keeps cutting out I can't cook anything or keep my cell phone or laptop charged and was not able to use my c-pap last night

Drivers with CPAPs should not have the idle restricted on their trucks . Even no idle states allow an exception for it .

Drivers should know idling policy of carriers when applying for the job . Don't work for these 5 minute idle carriers

This is what you do go tell your dbl that you want to be on a dedicated account. Most accounts have you work 5 days off 2 except around holidays they keep you within 400 miles of a terminal. For whatever reason you run out of hours you will be close enough to a terminal to run illegally for 3 hours. I know ima catch flak for this but that's what I did for 3 months straight at sni didn't get caught and there were plenty of times I worked 20 hour days. Second if your in a small town log your self off duty it takes the Qualcomm like 2 miles to switch back over learned that a driver did that in Indy and only had 5 min of drive time last log self off duty at every chane you get it'll save you hours
