Hello, I am looking for someone to help me out to give me some hours on the road. I just graduated from Swift in Phoenix and I graduated at the top of my class with 98% or better. Prior to that I was running heavy equipment. I drove flatbed about 20 years ago for about 2 years but I know things have changed. I am a go getter and hard worker. I get along well with everyone. The trainers at Swift said that if it was up to them they would send me out in a truck now. I know that I need some experience. I have a couple of companies that will hire me with 160 hours of experience so I wanted to offer my services to someone. I would need to earn some money. Open to hearing from anyone interested. Thanks for your time. I entered this under my wife's user name. She joined this forum....

If you went thru Swifts school they should have a job ready for you!

They do but I have not got a Mentor yet so I am looking to get something else in the mean time. I am not liking the sitting around doing nothing that I am currently doing. I can go to work for Melton if I get 160 hours. I do not want to limit myself so I am being pro active.

Lucky you, Phoenix is a awesome city for a CDL guy..Always LTL's hiring, always tanks and flats hiring, big carriers housed there...Parts for your truck no problem etc etc
Good luck getting your min requirements together, I hear Manny Huerta trucking out of rio rico does special things like what your looking for..
Put my kid to work with only 90 days exp...You go in and usually talk to Manny Himself -
Thanks for your response. Rio Rico is over 100 miles away so just dropping in isn't that easy, will call them though!

How about Swift?

been hired but they don't have a mentor. I am looking to go to work now...

Tenichally if you didn't pay up front you have to drive for them! If you dont and u go to work for someone else and don't go back it's gonna cost you 5 to 10 grand minimum.

If you have tanker/hazmat endorsements, Groendyke Transport is a good choice.
Navajo Express is OK and can run dedicated Phoenix/Tuscon round trips to Denver. Can also run coast to coast. -
