What's he waiting for; move on to a decent company. He won't have to deal with driver facing cameras in the trucks. Try Navajo Express.

So you signed a contract with swift saying you would work said amount of time if they helped you get your license and now that you have that license your going to jump ship before they even put you in a truck?

That's not the way Swift works. They ask you if you want to stay or not and if you say "no" they bill you for the school. Drivers aren't obligated to stay there, but they are obligated to pay for the school if they decide to work for another company after graduation. It's a good option for drivers that don't want to wait 2 or 3 weeks for a trainer.

I never said he'd have to pay lump sum. He will be on the hook for the training

They don't ask you if you want to stay or leave. My cousin trained and fulfilled his obligation to swift. He hated it. But when you sign on to their school, they assume you are going to stay and drive for them.

I really appreciate all the comments. I am aware of all these things. I simply asked if anyone needed a co-seat. Thanks!

You make it sound like it's no big deal letting someone with no experience drive your 80 thousand dollar truck hauling 50 thousand in someone else's property down the road like you should be able to jump right in my truck and start driving.
