Search Engine Optimization. Basically you have a website for your business and you have behind the scenes computer code {Hit Control U on any site} that runs it. SEO is when you change the code to reflect the keywords that you have chosen for people to put into their search browser to find your website. In this case, Towing, Tow truck, Tow truck operators, Wrecker, Car haulers.......Google sends out a computer program across the internet called SPIDERS that search out websites for keywords. Depending upon the structure of the site, the Bots will assign a number to the sight. The higher the number the further up the search engine your site shows up so you aren't on the 999th page of the search.

Unless you know what you are doing, it's better to hire a service. But in this case, there is another option. You can pay Google for ads. What this does is puts your site at the top of the search and you get more hits. You will see them with the little word AD next to them at the top of your screen. This is a little costly and doesn't necessarily get results. Another way is to use Facebook. Open a Facebook page for your particular business IE Security Check Required and they have an advertising section that cost less and they display your business on others facebook page.

All of it is about structuring not only your physical business but also your internet business. You want to get your business in front of as many mobiles, computer, tablet devices as possible. SEO is important to that process.

If towing is your passion go with it, Knock on doors, run specials for say Uber and Lyft drivers, call on the dealers and garages, talk to the trucking companies in your area. Just don't take no for an answer. Shoe leather and persistence will pay in the long run.
You'll get 50 no's to one yes, just suck it up and keep going. You might want to add tires service as an idea, don't forget to hit up the rental car agency's.
