Due to an issue in my past, Maverick and TMC wont touch me.

Is there any other reputable flatbed companies out there that is worth working for?

Im in CDL school right now and would like to hook up with a good flatbed company.

    Any Ideas?

Yes Harley. There is a whole lot in this wonderful world out there besides these "Perfect People". Im rusty on the current deal, but I like your BTC idea.
.I was employed by Mav. and saw up close The Mickow Corp. (TMC). And they are NOT by a longshot anyway any better than the competition.
If my homebase was the Ozarks I would consider Wood Haulers (Heber Springs),Howard Trucking (Newport),Bean Team (Glenwood) & Alton Bean (Mena). Or some thing along these lines.
Getting started will be very hard,Im Sure.

I called BTC but they told me Im not in their current hiring area. They are only hiring people close to the freight lanes. I would have to live on the border line of 55 HWY and Im about 50 miles from it. Very disappointed I was. I thought for sure I could get a job with them.:biggrin_25513:

Thanks to everyone that has given me some places to check out, I appreciate it.

Im trying to hang tough but I have 2 weeks left of school and things are not looking good as far as flatbed jobs. I have charge on my record that was back in 2004 and I just cant seem to get around it.:biggrin_25513:

what was the charge? It can help to narrow down who you would qualify for.

mcelroy out of cuba AL maybe. talked awhile on cb with a driver that was happy there.

BTW, arrow is going through a downsizing (according to one of their drivers) from something like 1200 units to 800.

I do believe your in Roehl's hiring area and they have a very good flatbed division. But they are also pretty strict with there hiring. Worth a try though.
