I'm using a Kenworth K100 COE in my mechanics class, and I am trying to figure out how to hook up to the trailer without slamming in to the trailer or riding the clutch, and as for the glad hands I can never get them hooked up on the first try

Just leave it in the low reverse gear and go slow. If it helps keep one foot on the clutch and the other on the brake. It's more about accuracy than speed. With the gladhands I normally put the tractor ends at about a 45 degree angle and try to match up the centers of the two gladhand ends before pulling down on the tractor gladhand. When I first started I had a little trouble with them also, but the more you do it the better you get.

I really dont want to be mean here, but if you arent mechanically inclined enough to figure out how to hook up the air lines, maybe being a mechanic just isnt for you.

I'm just not trying to slam into the trailer and maybe bend the kingpin. I know the way to put the air lines on my issue there is hooking them up to the trailer
