Dang I keep trying to explain things, lucky for me I guess I don,t get a tungue lashing, i still say if you can,t see the king pin try backing into it from the side, in hi rev, that always works, and use super glue makes for fast connections and no leaks.

Yeah, these guys have made certain this guy hates all truck drivers before he has even becomes a mechanic. No worries though, when you come in crying your lil trucky is all broken... Paybacks are hell.

Most reading this so far have yet to realize this guy is going to school to be a mechanic, not a truck driver.

OP, visually inspect the height of both truck and trailer. Make sure they are both near or at the same height. You may be trying to lift trailer with the truck too high.

As for damaging the kingpin; forget it, Ain't gonna happen. If you think you're doing something wrong with the gladhands because it doesn't go "click, click" and you're done, That ain't gonna happen either. I've been driving 30 years and still have to try 4 or 5 times to get an air-tight seal sometimes.

its good to carry extra glad hand seals too...but if you dont have any...and they dont wanna couple together right....spit on em (yes really) and then take your finger and rub your slobber all over it...then they should couple smoothly....DONT even start with the rude perverted comments either boys!!!!!!

Red Hot Mess and goodchoice10 Thank this.
