He's a real go getter! :p Spends most of his time off duty, or in the sleeper berth. :D

Minor form and manner violations, but enough to get you a fine and 10 off at a scale house. The first mistake is the multi-day off-duty log, although it is perfectly legal to do so the driver should not combine two months on the same form. Do one for for 9/27-9/30 and one form for 10/1-10/4. Also on that page the date at the top should show the period, not just in the remarks. Also, the 24 is entered in the box but not also in the total box at the bottom, minor but still a form and manner violation.

The other days look good except the driver is penetrating the grid box with their remarks lines, that is what the extra time line just below the grid is for. Do not run your remarks line up into the grid. Also, too much info in the remark section, city and state is all that is required, exit and/or mile marker only if you are at a place in-between two towns. Pre-trip inspection and post-trip inspection should be written out not abbreviated, but that is more for clarification rather than law, cover your arse if your log book ever has to go to court. I have seen lawyers tear apart the little things.

I will absolutely take that into consideration..... what i was worried about is the 10/6 - 10/7 log book. Because when I put the info into an app that checks log books I got a error saying that he went over his hours on 10/7
AndI couldn't figure out why.... He slept 10 hours before driving and his driving switched over to the next page of 10/7

Have him install KeepTrucking app on his phone and use that to learn how to do them logs correctly.

That's what I did to learn.

He can even edit his stops/duty changes etc, before he puts it down on paper.

It will alert him on violations before its too late.

There is no violation on 10/5 to 10/6, the driver did not do a split sleeper birth. They had exactly 10 in the sleeper from 04:00-14:00 then had 11:75 total before taking another 10 in the sleeper.

On 10/5 they started working at 19:00, worked until 04:00 on 10/6 then took a 10 consecutive break in the sleeper, came back on duty at 14:00 and worked until 01:45 on 10/7. Nothing wrong with that at all.

The only thing this driver has to learn is not to penetrate the box with their remarks line, there are no actual hours violations only minor form and manner.
