Ok I need information from anyone who attended North American Truck School or All State Career. I pretty much know all the info about all state. Their course is 6 months and 9000 wich I believe is too long and to much. Now North American is 2 and a half months and 5000. Does anyone have anything on Nats?I've done years of studying cdl material and I feel as though I dont need 6 months of schooling. I've past lots of cdl practice tests and even some at all state career when I studied HVAC

Hey guy. I took my training at Cecil Community College in Cecil County. The training yard is in Perryville. It was only 2 nights a week for 3 hours and weekends for 6 weeks at that time. The cost then was about 2500.00. I do believe it went up though to about 4800.00. Not sure on the cost now though. I have a number if you need it still.

P.S. They will give you a listing of places that hire students grads as well.

That's just a little too far cause I don't have a car, I looked into that too. Thanks though good to see someone from MD here.

Anytime, I just got a local job yesterday driving a dry bulk tanker. I start today actually. Where you at in Maryland? Oh by the way, I checked on that school for my own knowledge. $4125.00. They have a 6 weeks course, which is 8-5, M-F. and a 7 week course, which is Tues and Thurs nights 6-10 pm and 8-5 on weekends. You need half down at the start and the other half at the 3rd week mark.

I'm right in Baltimore City dead center in between both those schools. Congrats on the job too. I think Ima go to North American and hopefully land a decent job here. I actually dont mind going over the road though.

I chose ASC because of the accreditation and the fact that some companies like Crete/Shaffer will not hire from NATS.

cool, well I have to say I have heard better things about North American vs All State Career. But no experience with either. I wish you all the luck in whatever you do. Just remember to constantly watch your mirrors and know whats around you at all times. Hope to see you out there. Enjoy.

Both schools had an interesting incident today. NATS had a truck driving north on North Point Blvd. ASC had a truck driving south on North Point Blvd. North American's truck got caught on a low hanging utility wire at the Wise Ave. intersection. A minute later All State's truck got caught on the same wire on the opposite side of the highway. The 2 schools' trucks had to sit there for about 3 hours waiting for the wire to be removed from the rigs. It was rather embarrassing and funny at the same time.
