My company routed us to the yard Friday under false pretenses to tell me they were shutting down, (Blitz Express). Said they would reimburse (not pay for) transportation home for myself, wife and 2 dogs.

We tried to get a rental car but couldn’t without a credit card.

The long story short is I was able to secure a hotel for my wife and dogs and flew home to pick up the car in Alabama and try and drive back out to Texas, to unload the truck and pick my wife and dogs up (on my way now).

Im down to my last $100 and I don’t know if I’m going to be able to make it back or what I’m even going to do even if I make it home.

I’ve never begged and will happily provide any proof….if I’m in the wrong place can someone help point me where to go.

I have a lot of pride and I can’t believe it’s come to this.

    201 Thanks this.

Company didn't leave you stranded, your poor planning did that.
Also if they shut down, don't expect that reimbursement.
Plus, no one believes or even likes a panhandler. We see the fake sob stories all the time.

You are absolutely correct my poor planning and also trust in my company did leave me stranded. I’ve been driving for 6 years and never thought I would be in this situation. The world owes me nothing and if it was only myself then I would simply suck it up….but since my wife is involved my pride and ego are out of the window.
I’m not lying about my situation but thanks for reading my post all the same…if Blitz still has trucks on the road headed to the yard, hopefully this will give them a heads up for what they are in for….and I hope they did plan better than I did.
    Thanks for your time.

    Something doesn’t add up here.
    No credit card?
Unable to rent a car, but able to get a plane ticket?

I don't mind being lied to. After over fifty years in this business I'm used to it.
I just wish the liars would make up better stories and at least try to keep their facts straight.
