You're quite local to me. There are small companies everywhere. There's also JB Hunt.

You can literally search Google Maps with Chicago Intermodal and start looking. Bedford Park is a hotbed.

 

With 6 months to your credit, for intermodal you can look at:

• Schneider
• Swift
• JB Hunt
• Marten Transport

And maybe The Hub Group.

With each of the above -- check frequently. Something may open up sooner than expected.

I checked with our job listings for JB Hunt looks like Chicago intermodal is wanting 12 to 24 months experience to start depending on the job.Things probably tightened up most intermodal jb is 6 months.

They can sign off on the experience but they tend to only do that for currently employed drivers though
