Hello all, I hope I am posting this in the right place. I will try to provide all the details. I do not have a CDL. (Although I do have a CDL permit) I was enrolled in C-1 Truck School for a job I applied for with SWIFT. The school is in Little Rock Arkansas. (Where I also live). I'm 23 (if that helps any) There was a drug test the first day of school. Which when the results came back a week and a half later. I was positive for marijuana. Yes I smoked but had stopped of my own will prior to attending. But I didn't wait long enough. Anyways. I failed the test and immediately called the Substance Abuse Professional they recommended to me. I went through and completed his recommendations and the return to duty stuff. My question is, what companies will hire me now? And being that I don't have a CDL and need the schooling, what can I do? I have beeen reading a little bit and have heard about the DAC and since I'm not licensed yet how does that play in? Trucking is something I really would like to do and I just was wondering if anybody could help me figure out what to do! Thank y'all.

,Complete the SAP first and foremost, and swear off the Gonja Bud. Then, ask @Chinatown or look into Carolina Cargo or Western Express. Not sure they have in-house training...hopefully our guru China will chime in. Best of luck to ya man. You should've done your due diligence in research and cleaned up before you got dinged. A failed or refused drug test in the CDL world is a heavy hit.
Not dissing you by ANY means, but you may have to get your STNA thru the state you are in and do that for awhile. One of my "young" nephews is....... because he got into a predicament like yours.

I normally am a bytch to ppl that just quit and wanna get into the industry. But in your case there might be hope because you attended. SAP.Are you truely sincere about stop smoking the weed?Schools have recruiters come in thruout the course.Either ask them what youre asking here with a call or wait until you attend the school. Why did you pull a stupid move to begin with whan you have to have know this industry has zero tolerance for an illegal subtance of any kind?

Thank you for the reply. The thing is I was hanging around the wrong crowd and had stopped smoking before applying. I didn't expect the process to go so quickly. I put in the online app and then within a matter of days I started school. I was in the school for about a week and a half before the results came back. I have been trying to change my life around. Got on a bad track for a while and the trucking was something I've wanted to do for a long time. Y'all are all right. It was stupid and I shouldn't have been smoking in the first place. There's no excuses for it. I'm just hoping that there is some way I can get back in that or another training program and live out the dream I've had of getting my CDL.

You're very right. Thank you for the reply. I completed the SAP requirements at the beginning of this week. You're right. No excuse for stupidity I reckon. Thank you for the helpful response. Hopefully this China feller will be able to give me some advice! Thank you.

Doubtful you have a DAC report since you weren't an employee.
Someone help out here; how can anyone even know about the incident with C-1 or the SAP if there's no DAC report and he simply says he was unemployed during that whole period of time.

Pretty sure Carolina Logistics will take you for their training. Another driver in your situation applied there and was told, "If you can pass the drug test here, we'll take you."
Try Carter Express; they send you to school in Paragould,AR.
Did you contact C-1 about returning there? Swift isn't the only company that hires from there.

There are companies that will take ppl that failed a drug test providing they attend a SAP program which you have.Sounds like you really want this so how about attending a company sponsored school?Of course you would have to sign a yr contract.Your choices are limited because you failed the test. But call some companies Monday and see what they say.But wait till in the afternoon, recruiters busiest day is Mondays.
