That was with USA Truck. I don't want to be with a trainer for 4-6 weeks. I don't know if I could honestly do it. One of the biggest reasons I got into trucking was the fact that you are alone. I prefer to be alone.

I should be going sometime in mid February either to WI or GA.

5 years ago, Roehl was 8 weeks of OTR training if you came to them fresh out of school......so now they are less then that?

I'm going to tell you right now that time is going to fly by quick, and you will still leave your trainers truck, with so many gaps on the process.

    davect Thanks this.

Try Workforce solutions if it is available in your state I did that here in Maine.

You have to be very clears what it is you want in trucking have a plan. Know it is OTR you are looking at and what it entails. you have to be very sure that this is what you want to do and stick to your story.

That is not true it depends on if you have a full time job if it is minimum wage or there a bouts or if you work part time.

Don't dismiss it before you try
