I have a load of bulk sweet potatoes the scale was broke at the farm so had to go 60 miles to find one. Here is what it came out as.
Steer - 12560
Drive - 31740
Trailer - 35680
Total - 79980
I have to go through Virgina so have to have the trailer axles at 41' KCRG. Which I think I have them there now, the 40ft mark on the trailer is at the rear of the first dual. So is there any way to make this load legal by moving the fith wheel? If I move the fith wheel back two notches it will add 800 to drives but will it take away from trailer too?

Either get it reloaded with more weight to the front or make sure you aren't going over any scales -

Screw the kingpin, get the weight legal.......

I don't know how much fuel you have on but you better take care fueling before any scales or you might be over. Right now I would start by slide rear tandems back about 4 holes or maybe 5. Don't forget to try to be California legal too.

If all else fails, stop by the Food bank and donate some spuds.

From what I read he is light on the drives and heavy on the trailer.

His drives are the only part that can take weight based on his numbers.
Move fifth wheel back one to get your steer legal*
Move your trailer tandems back 3 holes if you have large pins, 5 if you have small pins and rescale.
* While most scales will not mess with you being that heavy on a steer axle some might. In addition check your axle rating(little sicker or plaque inside edge drivers door opening ) to ensure you can carry that. If it's rated at 12,000 that is your limit.
