I would think but I am not there to see it
If you happen to have any type of oil that you can get in there even if most of it comes back out it will help
If you can dump the air on that axle it would help a lot

You must share the rest of the story and the name of that outstanding shop.

    Really isn't that great..
I was home so had this local shop do the passenger steer wheel seal as it was beginning to weep, & caught it in time to save the linings & drum. Figured be a quick job so I hung around as the work was "performed". The guy was BS'ing with me, & in conversation said and I quote, "Awe dogg, wheel bearings bees my specialty!" Lmao :D Ok then..

Bring her home, sit a day or 2 & a direct of mine calls for a quick run of galvanized roof decking to Tallahassee, about a 400 mi run. Pick at 1600, deliver 0700 next morning. No sweat.. o_O

Hub feels a little warm in Tampa. 6pm, rest area at the 309 yard stick(I'm exit 229), 80 miles from home she's burnt up. I call the shop & tell em get one of their mobiles out here asap, ya messed up. Get the run around for a few mins about being out of their coverage area. (84 mile from their shop) He folds, & sends a service truck..

Surprise surprise, he sends Mr. "Wheel bearings bees my specialty"! Gripes about how he can't understand how this could of possibly happened.? "Fixed" it a 2nd time, & I continue i75North. Make i10, head west. I rolled a little longer than I should have without checking as I'm getting behind. Pull up at a flying j somewhere in the panhandle, & she burnt up again!! That's the pic I posted of the yellow'd site glass..

It's midnight by now, lost 4hrs the 1st time. So I call again, woke him up. My choice of words probably wasn't the best at this point, but as one can imagine he had no interest in standing behind their work a 2nd time..

Shut it down for the night. Limped it to a shop called Kenda truck somewhere near Madison, FL in the panhandle. By the look of this joint, I was in for even more trouble. I still have their card, cause I was worried I'd have to call them back too..

Little Mexican dude rolls in the bay late for work looking like he aint slept in a week.! Fixed it for a 3rd time.. Imagine this, it was the also the last time! Never leaked nor got hot till ol Buck died Sept. 16, 2021..

1st & only late load I've ever delivered. Luckily communication with the consignee saved me. Load wasn't as hot as shipper made it seem, & was never the wiser..

    This was March/April of 2018.
Shop was called On-Site but was in the process of changing names to South FL Mobile Mechanics out of Bradenton, FL. Still in operation.. Seemingly has ok reviews on google.? o_O

I had the passenger side steer almost fall off when I picked up my truck from Freightliner of Arizona For The Criminally Insane.

    New truck to me.

Guess in the process of tightening the lug nuts someone probably got a text from their traumatized kid cause they didn't have tacos that day in the cafeteria, so forgot all about tightening the lug nuts.

Well, to be fair, the driver side was ok.

these grease packed hubs are like time bombs. After few years grease is getting old and changing viscosity. It stops lubrication of bearings and this happens. Last 2-3 years i have seen many this kind of failures. If trailer has Meritor PSI inflation system installed with thermal plugs failure of hubs can be avoided.
