I have been asking the last couple of days about hooking up my 2500 watt inverter,I am stuck though I can only find 80 amp inline fuses and was wondering if I run the cable from the positive side of battery into one of these then another piece of cable into another 80 amp fuse then run the cable up to my inverter if this would work,I can't find anything bigger then an 80 amp fuse or fuse holder anywhere except for I found a 200 amp ANL fuse but I have no Idea on how to hook these babys up.Any advise or suggestions would really help out.
Need help please LOOK!!!

Wish I could help ya, but we had our inverter installed by the guys in the shop at our company.
Have you tried posting this question in "ask an experienced driver" section?
Maybe someone there can help you...
Good luck!

You might try going to a aftermarket car stereo place. They use some big fuses for the high power amps.

OP, I seriously doubt if you are ever going to reach the full 2500 watts your inverter is supposed to be rated for. Your trucks alternator/batteries aren't going to allow it either.
If you are determined to get a bigger fuse Crutchfield has 100 amp's. -
most large inverters come with a reset switch. These will stop a overdraw. Yet this wont stop you from killing your truck battery. The only thing the fuse will help for is when the feed from the battery chaffes a hole on the instalation and blows to keep from incinerating the wires.
I sure hope this isnt a company truck. They findout you retrofitted a truck with out their knowledge, it is considered grounds for termination.
