So I'm retrofitting a truck that had a single tank (square with everything on top) to standard semi aluminum round tanks. Both tanks have the small 1/4" fitting at the top (vent?), and two ports about 1/3 from the bottom. These ports go to tubes inside that curve forward and rearward.
I understand these are for crossover tubes. I also need to plumb the return.
Can I run the return to one set of ports and draw from the other port?
Would full tanks push back on a return line?
Do I need a check valve on the return?
And if so, should I draw from the port that curves forward....or rearward?
Thankyou

The fuel lines on your truck needs to go to a splitter. The lines from the splitter to the tank need to be the same length. The the valve itself does not need to be centered on the truck, it can be on a frame rail, but the lines need to be the exact same length, one can have an extra coil in it. That goes for the suction and return. I'm Gusssing the ports on the side are your connection fittings. The larger of the two is the suction/feed side and the smaller the return.
No check valves that I'm aware of in the return.
No need for a direct crossover with that system. -
Ok thanks
