OK. I am going to help you out here. Take this advice or leave it...it's up to you. Also, most of this information can be found on this forum if you look around enough.

#1: Document, document, document. Do you have Qualcomm, Peoplenet, or something like that? If so, any further communication needs to be through that device...especially when it comes to quitting which I will touch on in a second.

#2: Start refusing to pull the overweight loads, run illegally, etc. What is he going to do? Yell? Stomp his feet? Throw a temper tantrum?? You are only ruining yourself by running illegally. STOP!!

#3 Get another job. You can successfully get another job within 3 days. That includes all paperwork being done. Tell them that you are ready to go to orientation asap, and that will kick the recruiters butt into high gear. The great majority of companies will bus you to their terminal from wherever you are, so no worries there. Do not, I repeat DO NOT mention anything about your present employers shenanigans. You will only screw yourself.

#4 When it is time to quit, you tell him that you need a load to the yard because you are quitting. If he raises hell and tells you to park it wherever you are, tell him that you need a faxed authorization from the comapany instructing you to park the truck at a Secured Location. I.e: A wrecking yard, dealership. Under no circumstances do you leave the truck at a truck stop, Wal Mart, or other place like that. If he refuses a secured location, tell him to fax you authorization to leave the truck where he desires. If he again refuses (which he most likely will,) tell him that you cannot leave the truck in an unsecured location without his written and signed authorization. If he threatens to call the police and they get involved, no biggie. Explain to them that he wants you to leave the truck without his written authorization. If they tell you to leave, do it, and you still have the documentation that you were forced to leave the truck...only through a police report now. Most likely, he will not want you to actually leave the truck where you are anyways because then he has to recover it...not to mention storage fees. No matter what though, make sure that you take time/date stamped pictures of everything inside and out (I'm talking tires, brakes, air lines, mattress, speakers, etc.) Get a picture of the truck next to a sign of the place you are leaving the truck. If at a wrecking yard or dealership, have someone do a "walk-through" of the truck with you. Also, document that you are releasing the truck to them. This all for your own protection. By doing this, he can't put truck abandonment on your DAC, because you have written permission to leave the truck at a location of his choosing. You also can't get a $10,000 bill in the mail for a brand new interior because he claims you ruined it. CYOA my friend.

This guy sounds like an incredible #######, and you want to make sure that you leave no rock unturned. But for the love of God, stop driving fatigued. You are going to kill someone, and that someone might be me or my family.
