Hello there, so i want to buy 2 trucks i'm 23 y/o i already have the money but i want to know how to start my questions are:

1: my mother is buying the 2 trucks with sleepers, can i still work as a owners operator?
2: how can i put my trucks to start making money?
3: is it good to start working with fedex, ups or warner?
4: can i put my 2 trucks to work without me being the driver? just hire a driver? or just drive one and hire a driver for the secound one?
5: what do i need to do when i first purchase the trucks? like insurance, DOT...

Thank you so much for your help, and i'm sorry to ask so many questions it's just that i don't know anything and i want to start getting some knowledge so i can start making some money for my family thanx again.

you can put trucks Mercer and just hire drivers ,check their requirements, you only need a DOT number if your getting your own authority.I would really suggest you check with companies that do 0/0. I would also suggest to know the industry before jumping in buying trucks it's a good way lose.

This isn't going to end well. I hope you have deep pockets, you are in for an expensive learning curve.

Be careful about specifications of the trucks. Some companies won't use a truck over 5 years old, etc. Don't buy more truck than you need for the type of trucking you plan to do; buy a bare bones truck that will get the job done & don't think about chicken lights & chrome until your company is up & running and showing a profit. Best wishes. Join OOIDA, a good organization for the 0/0 and small fleet owner; check the website.

Do you know what type of trucks to spec out for what you will be hauling? Why are you starting with 2 before getting involved yerself? If you are starting out with 2 trucks you are destined for failure, I can guarentee it. Buy one nicely specced truck AFTER finding a good place to lease on, so you know what you will need, and then take it slowly from there.
