Ive got the idle shutdown on my truck and its temp controlled. Has to be over 70 or under 20 to allow idling. Im looking for the temp sensor for it but because its so new no one knows and i dont either anyone know by chance.
sidenote: none of the normal idle overrides work cruise, brake realising nothing works

Unplugging them won't keep it running if that is what your trying to do. An appropriate ohm resistor can fool it into thinking it is hot outside or as I use to do handwarmers a sock to insulate and a plastic bag taped over the mirror to keep the cooler air out. Could also get a 12v defroster and set that up on it

That sensor is pretty is pretty sensitive tho as I held my fingers on it and the dash temp gauge immediately starting going up .

On past year model freightliner cascadia (maybe 2014?) , I was told once it's near the right frame rail up towards the very front of the truck below the radiator. I think the outside temp sensor you read on the dash, and the temp sensor used to control idle and other engine functions are two separate sensors. But I may be wrong. I'm just a truck driver after all.
