Then she shouldn't post messages until she has. To the op the first fitting is to air out hoses. Once mt close the valve and charge with air. Wait a few seconds shut off other valve, shut off air, release air pressure and disconnect hoses. At least in chemical tanks. I've never ran an asphalt tank.Last edited: Jun 25, 2017

I do read the postings but I also read between the lines. Many times the op leaves important things out.

Did he catch the bus yet?Roberts450, MJ1657, mslashbar and 4 others Thank this.

That tank and those lines are a pressurized flush system.......
That tank should have a fill cap. (like a gas cap on a car) on it. Remove it and fill tank with diesel fuel.
All those little valves should be shut. They should all operate freely. If they are locked up there is Asphalt in those little lines. The load probably won't reheat them enough to be operational. You'll need a torch.....
The way it should work is after you mt out you close the big wheel valve to the trailer . Open all those little 1/4 turn valves between the tank and the line you unloaded thru. Then open the 1/4 turn valve that has a air line attached and leads into that tank..... the air pressure pushes diesel thru the line you just unloaded thru to flush it out.....
If you unload off the front or back the procedure is the same.......88 Alpha, tucker, austinmike and 4 others Thank this. -
The wheel valve shuts product off the valve on the left lets diesel into line to flush it out . After you done flushing close the valve on the left and open the valve on the right to let air thru the line ...while the pump is running.
Are you unloading off the back of the trailer or pumping them off with the truck. Therefore unloading off the front? -
Makes sense! I was trying to figure out why he had a fuel tank on the trailer.

You should really read the whole thing before flaming him or his boss, if you would have read it the op says he is already employed there not a new hire, if you would have read you would know that the one guy that did know how to operate it left. Now half read this and respond.19d, 88 Alpha, tucker and 1 other person Thank this.

This is the chimney for the heating system... but it looks like the rest of the furnace has been removed. It's hard to tell from you pictures. You won't need it any way . Leave it alone ..
You got enough problems but those etnyre hose fittings suck .. go with cam locks ....
Where long sleeves and be careful....
