Hey all, so I recently had the run out done on all my drives. I've been chasing a shake since I bought the truck 2 years ago. Any how lol after I had my tires removed and put back on I noticed a missing lug nut on one of my drives. Took the truck to a buddy's shop and removed the drives again myself to make sure everything was tight. tightened all my inner nuts and outer nuts. In the process I snapped one of the inner lug nuts head off. I run tall rubber on 11r 24.5" dual aluminum stud piloted wheels. I've been searching online for what length the extended inner lugs are and for a place to buy some. Also I need a damaged lug removal tool with the right size socket to remove the bad inner lug. I'm hoping someone can help who runs the same size wheels. As always much appreciated guys and gals.
Need help with lug sizes and removal tool

Did the square drive part break off?
I don't know if there is a tool built to remove a damaged inner nut stud and its hard to advise a course of action without seeing it in person. Myself, if I could, I would remove the outer tire and try to use a pipe wrench to break the stud nut free. If they were off recently they shouldn't be too hard to bust loose.Oxbow, cnsper and H2oburymatt Thank this. -

I think some are 3/4 but I believe there are a couple different sizes. I want to say 11/16? Or is it 13/16? I haven't touched budd wheels since the late 90's. Easiest way to tell for sure is stick a wrench on the square of one of the good studs. That'd tell you for sure.

The square is 13/16. The tool drives over the inner stud and you take it off with an air gun. Any general truck parts or tire supply company should have one. Fleet Pride, Mid West Wheel, Myers tire, etc. Screw the big nut on it, weld it, take it off.

I am not sure how you would measure them, about 2 1/2 inches of threads outside. The inner nuts for aluminum Budd rims are only for that application. They have a shoulder that fits in the inner rim holes and are longer for the outer aluminum rims. You know the left side is left hand threaded and the right side is right hand threaded? Just ask the old guy, inner budd nuts for aluminum on aluminum rims.
Oxbow and H2oburymatt Thank this. -
Yes I do know that I've taken them off a bunch of times. That's exactly what my buddy said just tell them it's alluminum rims and they'll know they're longer lol. I'll.match one up this weekend and repost once I have specific size in case anyone else wants to order online. Yeah they're definitely ones with shoulder. Round shoulder fits down in the rim hole. Thanks a bunch

Remember left hand. Thread
