i recommand you to have a close look at the harness connector of the intake temp sensor (on the intake manifold in line with the cylinder 4-5) and also at the boost sensor harness on the top of the egr mixer, with a slim piece of .020 Thousand of inch thick check all female terminal drag in both connectors,
Sometimes the engine vibration who generate fretting between terminal male and femelle in those connector and the female terminal loose their tension and when you plug the harness to the sensor you cannot feel the lack of tension.

One thing it sounds like the turbo is not making enough boost. mine runs 45 psi at 1200 to 1600 rpms
it might be in the varlble vane I had my egr and dpf shut off and it would run 30 psi of boost just on flat ground no load
I had to have the egr valve working for the turbo to work right -
BUMP!
Im having the same problem. No codes. Ive replaced the egr diff pressure sensor (is there an updated pipe?), had the overhead run, baked the filters, and replaced the exaust temp and pressure sensor.
Anybody have any info? -
Also, the most boost the truck will make is 39lbs
