I do not know much about CB's and what all the knobs and buttons do.

what position should I have these in?

    S/RF NB/ANG Tone

    SWR ANL HI

    Cal OFF NOR

And also, in easy terms, what and where do I roughly need the dynamike, rf gain, and SWR Cal?

Thanks for any info you might share.

I probably should stop at a cb shop, as the antenna's were on the truck, and may not be matched.

    SRF-SWR-Cal in the S/RF position
NB/ANL-ANL-Off Either in the ANL or off posotion depending on amount of noise
Tone Depends on how you like. It just slightly changes the incoming voice.

RF gain all the way to the right
Dynamic Depends on the mic being used. I use an astatic 636 L noise canceling mic and leave mine fully to the right. I tell soft spoken talkers to turn it all the way up but louder talkers to turn it down slightly.

The swr cal is just for checking the antennas. Switch the S/RF-SWR-Cal to the cal position. Turn to channel 20, Key up mic and turn the SWR Cal knob till the needle on the meter swings to the little square in the top right corner of the meter. Then switch the S/RF-SWR-Cal to the SWR position and key up the mic again. Note were the needle is. If it goes past the 2 in the meter then you need to get your antennas or coax checked.

That is about it in a nutshell. Oh leave the sound tracker off unless you are running with someone else that also has it.
