I have an old style 13 speed with 3 air lines. My original knob was the one switch on the side knob. Which allowed you to get from high to low and split with one switch. I’m trying to replace it will a new style air valve with 2 switches. That has 5 ports. Please help . I can get the 3 lines to work. And I don’t want to have to buy another custom switch
Need help with transmission airlines, old style 13 speed

I just went the other way but had to modify it. Went from 4 lines to 3. Mines a RTO 14613 It needs air for low--No air for direct and air for overdrive (spitter) It got air for low from supply on trans. It got the air for the splitter from a tee on another line. Go to eaton fullers website-you can find all the air plumbing for shift knobs and transmission. The 5th port is an exhaust port not used.

Just blow air threw knob and find out how it works.I actually had to drill a new passageway and plug another to make the chrome knob work.Good Luck

To switch to the newer knob you need to update the slave on the side of the transmission

Its the chrome knob with L-D-OD button on side. If you take it apart it will give you No air in low-air in direct-and air in od. You plug the passage (JB Weld) for no air in direct and drill a new passage to give you air for Low. I just plugged the line at the tee where my old knob got air for the splitter. Once you know how things work live is pretty simple.

I have a 2017 Mack granite with a 13 speed. 2 questions. It's grinds everytime I split while only down shifting once I apply the throttle any idea why? And it came with an added air line with toggle switch. Do you know what it could be for? TX Sherri
