I have been reading the forum for the last few days and while I have to admit alot of what I have read paints a new picture of what I thought Driving was and what it truly seems. Anyway, I needed to know if there is anyway I can get hired if I have been suspended (license) over the last 3 years and just got them back? The suspensions were for not paying surcharges, I have no criminal backgorund or DUI's. I was just told no by CR England.

Not likely, no matter what the reason for the suspension. You'll have to wait a while before getting into the biz.

Most accidents / suspensions clear off the immediate driving record in 3-5 years.

Likely 3 - 5 years to be honest. That's the standard.

Well said! It's definitely better to find out before you have spent the money. Others have not found out until after the fact.

I don't know about this. I have a suspension on my record from Dec 2008. However I just got done with C-1 with USA as my carrier and they didn't drop me. It was suspended for not paying a seat belt violation.

After training I got worried about getting dropped during orientation so I called placement to ask them about it... They told me USA had all my information and still didn't drop me and that I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Should I call someone directly at USA before going to orientation?

Still though, its easy to make phone calls and ask...Or even about driving a B truck,-take that test with a little studying, amd you do not need schooling.Good Luck
