You don't test positive on a drug test for Dr. prescibed meds, those are reviewed upon the results and excluded if a valid prescription exist.
Stop abusing drugs! -
yes you do. and for your information I am not a drug user. I have crohns disease. the only drugs i have ever taken are what a Dr. has given me. I don't even drink because of the affects that could happen to me if i did do that. So get your faact right ask a Dr.

I wonder if you had a letter from your doctor - noting the medication/usage/dosage and if it would affect your driving/response time would help? Other than that - I have no ideas - good luck!
Kevin691234 Thanks this. -
There are meds that are accepted and meds that aren't. Even if they're dr prescribed they may simply not be allowed.
I suggest you sit down and spend the time to contact company after company asking if your meds are allowed. It'll be time and labor extensive but frankly it's the only way you're going to know.
I sure do wish you luck.Kevin691234 Thanks this. -

thanks for the last two comments those are very helpfull. At the time i tested positive I was takeing tylonal 3 which has codine in it. that is why i hit as possitive.

I took my bottle of med. and showed them when i took the test. On top of it I showed them after i took te test. I alsotold the company when i was perscribed the med. that I had been perscribe this before I even started takeing them. But thanks I just need a job and would work for anyone right now to keep the roof over my kids heads.

I was just doing some reading on crohns disease and it sounds painful. If you have to manage the pain with drugs like Tylenol3 which has codeine in it, I dont think you can drive a truck. Plus the fact you probably need to see a doctor on a regular basis would be hard being on the road for weeks at a time. Might be manageable, but I dont think OTR trucking would be in your best interest.

When you make up your mind, let me know.
Drugs are drugs.
