Well found out I can not get a job with 3 DUIs even though they are over 20 years old. So, before I give up and move on to something else, I have so much time and money in this CDL thing, I have a Class CDL with Hazmat endorsement and can not use it. I am a recent graduate from TDI School.

Is there anyone out here, who can tell me who would hire me or no a owner operator who could use a good guy. I can drive and all that just have no experience that small companies are looking for and has 3 DUIs that no big or medium and small companies with touch. I know it is not them but more the insurance companies. I need help if possible. Thanks for you time.

You may want to look at driving a rock bucket for a local outfit. Get some safe miles on the board and then look into a more lucrative option. The season is going now for these companies and there rules may be a little more lenient for something 20 years old.

Maybe try a local refuse company driving a garbage truck? Or a cement/asphalt operation doing the mixer or tri-axle gig? Don't limit yourself to the normal cookie cutter companies.Insurance reg's will probably keep them from hiring you. I know up my way that some blacktop/asphalt companies aren't too picky. You'll do laboring along with driving, but it will get your ### back in the seat.....:biggrin_25525:

Yeah, hehehe..."local refuse company" is good, they are also called trash companies ;) ....anyway...it's a good start. Worked for one years ago and had plenty of fun - but also hard work. Still, it's a paycheck and maybe a good find in the trash (???). Never know what others throw away - I'm serious!

Try some mom and pop companies like Windy Hill or like an owner op. Owner ops still have to pay insurance though and its the insurance companies that dictate your driving career.

    Good luck!

I was just commenting on a "can't get into CDL school" earlier. Why haven't those instructors in that TDI school told you that you may have a hard time getting a job with 3 DUI's? They knew! That's what I mean with CDL schools ripping off students!

I can't believe companies are really that thorough nowadays....20 years ago, and those morons still hold that against you? Can't believe that is still on your record! :biggrin_2555:....Shoot, I can only hope whenever I decide to get back on the road, most of my crap is not showing. Hihihi.....otherwise I'll be in deep trouble :biggrin_25521:
