Nice equipment, except they are Macks, OOPS Petes too, always clean and shiny. Never hear the drivers complain. I live in Va and they have a yd in Harrisonburg. Hi mileage too, 3 yrs 400,000 mi so you run. They go as far west as OKC I think, but mostly I 81 I95 I40

    Never worked for them..but....

Here's some information you may find usful before you decide..

Abiline is owned by MAX FULLER whom also owns the following companies..:

    US. Express
    Arnold transportation
    Total transportation
    Abiline

    His brother (name??) owns

    Covenant transportation
(max fuller has a small percentage of covenant also) not sure how much.

    Equipment will be good ..
When max buys trucks they are normally AUTO Matics .. With Vorad system..

Hope this helps not sure on mileage but if they are close it's worth a shot but weigh your options but In this economy and you probally having to go thru a REFRESHER course I would say ..

    Go for it ..

Reason : most carriers are tighten up on hirees there for getting in the door anywhere right now would be a plus .. Lots of companies are downsizing .. Very few are adding .. Some are downsizing thru ATTRITION (driver turnover) and not rehiring .. Letting trucks sit idle .. (no driver) most carriers are weeding out BAD APPLES (firing) due to the quality of drivers in the hire pool ( lots of LP and OO's trying to go company) and the quality of avaloable driver are up compaired to years past .

Take the job in short .. Unless u have a good back up offer..

Abilene is owned by two brothers who both work at the company. If you have any questions call them and ask to speak to the owners, they will talk to you on the phone and answer any questions.
