need info on background check please

    Hey everyone,all of of the posts have been helpful in making prime as my school to be,just wanted to know anyone can tell me this,my history is clear as far as criminal goes just a dui about 10 years ago,from what I hear that should not be a problem.on the other hand my credit is a real disaster ,I mean bankrupcty ,foreclose on my house repoessed 3 cars and have a bunch of civil cases against me,but nothing crimnal, and I am not done I owe pretty chunk of taxes to the state city and federal,this all came about by my business going under,I was in business for 13 years and the past 2 years were brutlle ,I lost everything trying to keep iit a float,with all that said , has anyone been in a situation like this and were able to complete school and be accepted in or were you booted out ,I just dont want to waste Primes time and my own ,well thank you if you can give me some helpful info

    NOW MY FRIEND; it looks like you have got yourseld in a mess , but i dont believe it will hold you back as far as employment. true they do a back ground check but as far as i no it is only for criminal back ground. not credit.

    there may be some companys that do a credit check although i personaly dont no of any but in todays times you never no. i lease to prime sevral years ago and they were pretty good to me with no credit check. i dont think you will have a problem in that area.

    Will a DUI keep you out of Canada ?? Does the company you want to work for go to canada?? You might ask THEM !!

    Some employers do credit checks, but trucking companies are far more lenient. Your mess is business related, ask the recruiter what their policy is.

    Yes... a DUI will keep you out of Canada - unless you go through their rather expensive process to get yourself allowed in. Prime does go to Canada, and that will probably keep you from being hired now - you should check with a recruiter because I'm not positive about that.

    As far as the rest of it is concerned, they probably won't care about the finances. They do care about being able to show a continuous employment history - no large gaps that can't be explained satisfactorily.
