Gordon is FORCED dispatched, and they have a very good reputation on the west coast.... They also run legal and dont let you bring a pet! Safety and LEGAL is really a big deal with Gordon, good luck with you!

Yeah I kinda figured they were forced dispatch.Knight was the only big company I worked for that did'nt but they had their way of making you pay for refusing a load to though. safe and legal sounds good to me.as long as dispatch lives up to that too. Thanks for the info.I should start orientation on the 21st of Aug.

I have been doing a lot of research lately and talked to some Gordon drivers when finishing my last few weeks with my current employer before the closing of the furniture plant where I was domiciled.
They have an excellent safety rating and do pay well for experienced drivers. They can match the pay I was currently receiving, and would pay even better If I choose to run reefer again. Everything the drivers told me matched what the recruiter said, so at least that is a good sign.
So far they seem to be the frontrunner for me. The only other large or larger company I consistantly heard good things about was Crete. Although I think I may have a better chance of getting home more with Gordon living on the CA 99 corridor.
If there are any Gordon drivers who can give me more details, especially about the reefer division, please feel free to post a reply. All help is greatly appreciated!
