CONTRACT carriers. Not a USPS job. Hauling semi-loads of mail between DC's or stations. They are all a little different. Driving on a strict schedule and loading/unloading wheeled "cages" and pallets with a jack. Light duty stuff but active.
Do some reading up on here if interested there are threads about it.
Personally I wanted to go back to some kind of tanker after dealing with some of the entitled postal people.

You can't be picky and expect a great job. Not in fuel anyway. Hauling fuel is a 24hr 7 days a week job with 2 shifts a day. That's usually how local gas hauling is set up. You're hired to a shift which means all the good shifts are taken. There are exceptions of course but very few. The drivers that have been established are watching for the good jobs. Many gasoline companies require experience and the good ones require a spotless record. Which means you'll start with the company that will work you to death and pay you little. So you can't be picky and get a job that caters to you, especially one that has a handful of applications. But you can get hired to any company but you have to stand out and can not apply like everyone else. In other words you have to get the attention of the people that do the hiring and prove to them you're ready for the job.
Cali kid Thanks this. -
