A lot of people could, but that doesn't mean they're going to do it. Could also show you the payout amounts for Powerball but that doesn't mean you'd get that either. How about we share PIN number to our bank accounts as well? The load board is a suggestion...some rates you take at face value, some you can negotiate. I would suggest that rather than ask for these things in a random atmosphere like a forum you make friends with a Landstar BCO...you know, an actual live person. At the very least you should try to have a one on one conversation with a member of your intended audience rather than broadcasting your request to the masses.

I think you still don't get it...the simple answer is yes, the recruiters will show you the rates. But what yuou probably don't get is that you can get better than the advertised rate...either by a simple increase or by negotiating the accessorials. But no matter what that's still only one small part of a puzzle. if all you're concerned with is the rate on the board, you're not ready.

I would say nothing anyone can be a LS agent that's why some agents have good paying loads and other just post any cheap load they find because they get their %. I one agent has potatoe loads in Washington state. He will post them at 2.10 a miles but they really pay by amount/weight they can get in your trailer. Then don't want to pay for the pallet weight. So they take that 2,000lbs off the rate.
Another agent has retail store shelving and rack for say Nike or Polo Ralph Lauren. His loads pay great maybe $3 a miles. Because they are remodeling the story at night and they can't afford to not be open the next da and they have a crew coming to unload the trucks and redo the store. So they have the money and pay the rate. You better not be late. He does not post his loads and most required a lift gate trailer.

LS agent are 100% independent contractors just like you would be as a LS driver. So agent can post any load at any rate. Some agents have their own trucks leased onto LS. Some agents get load from CH Robinson and repost them on LS load board

Here is how it works. Your sitting in your truck empty. You get on your laptop and get on the load board and you decide how much per mile you want or how much weight you want to haul. If you want long haul or short hauls. All thet kinda depends on the available loads and the if you want to wait and look for a load or load and go. You tell the load board to show you all the loads with in say 250 miles you can look out in a 500 miles radius from your current location. Or you can put any place you want. You can put in no location and see every van load in the LS system. You can see maybe were all the good paying loads are. Then you can look for a load going to that area. Once you find a load you want you can call and take the load for that rate. You can even try negotiating a better rate. You might find out that load is not available anymore because another driver already booked it or the shipper already covered the load.

Just to give an example I know of and maybe I should have done the same thing. Some LS drives will book the top paying crazy rate load like weeks out in advance. They spend their time finding loads the pay hopefully good to get them close to the great paying load, the closer they get to the pick date. If he can't get any closer then say 800 miles to pick you just deadhead and eat the empty miles. Because if you back out on the load that agent will never let you book another one of his loads. Plus if it paying crazy rate anyway the 800 miles is not a factor to even worry about. Sometime those loads are the one the agents don't post. They know the drive will take care of the load and not bail on him. So the agent calls and offers him the load first. That's how the drive I knew got American Idol anget called and said he need another truck and it was paying like $6,500 a week and it was like a 6 week deal. The driver said I'll take it and the load never makes the load board.

You can see a live demo if they still running it. Just to give examples they say access to load board 24/7 that's true. The only problem is no agent work past 5pm and almost none work the weekend. So nobady to call and book a load.
