now for starters i have two company's one is a c-corp and one is a DBA and I'm about to expand again. right after the first of the year i will be expanding my company to include drivers and lease operators and would like to have input from drivers and owner operators as to what you require in a company and what each of you would like to see in a company you work for or lease to.

now my company is already different then any company out there and it is my intent to keep it that way.

ill tell you as much as i can at this time and if you like what you hear drop me a line and let me no along with any suggestions you might have , Ive learned a long time ago to listen to drivers that have useful comments.

as far as equipment is concerned we will have dry vans, flat beds along with drop decks, we will be hauling dry freight , building and construction materials along with heavy haul machinery and heavy equipment .

if you choose to do so you can lease on to us and pull our trailer and operate under our authority, there will be no forced dispatch and no driver will be penalized for turning down a load period.

the driver decides how long he stays out not the company of course the more you run the more money you make but its your decision.

all equipment will be first class not new but first class and they will all run and they will all look good.

what id like to know from you guys is what you want in a company? what you have to pay if your leased to a company and pull a company trailer, what percentage you get for your tractor i cant tell you what your percentage will be here as of yet were still getting things organized but i can tell you this it will be better then what your getting guaranteed.

i am a pain in the --- when it comes to safety otherwise I'm pretty easy to get along with, however i do have a dress code if you look like a werewolf or like you live under a bridge don't wast your time or mine.

id like to hear from all that are or might be interested including women drivers if you can drive and have some experience your welcome.

as i said this is going to be an expansion of my company's and it will be different then what your use to and you will be treated different then what your use to count on it .

i want your input to assure that this company is different then any other i don't like trucking company's that why i don't work for them and wont i tried it a couple of times years ago never again this company will not act or operate that way ill close the doors first.

any input you can give would be a big help and ill appreciate it greatly.

    many thanks in advance.---southernpride:biggrin_25519:

Best of luck in this new venture! There's been quite a lot of chatter in one of the other forums about leasing, and some were asking who a good company to lease from would be. You may want to go up there and post or send a couple PM's to those folks asking about leasing.
Again, I wish you my very best!

If you can do one thing really well don't mess up a driver's settlement/paycheck. I've been with the same company practically my entire career as company driver now o/o. They're not perfect but I never have anything missing on my paycheck. I never wonder if I'll get reimbursed for the scale tickets. I never wonder if they're really going to pay me for all my paid stopoffs or the 12, 18, 24hr delay pays. The money they owe me is always there. I check everything still but I could count on one hand how many times they've screwed up in almost 10 years. To me that means a lot.

Sounds like your going to have a nice gig for guys interesting in leasing on. I don't know how you're going to swing it without force dispatching company trucks though. I'm not looking to make a change but keep us all updated and good luck.

I would have to say respect and honesty are #1. From the sounds of it that won't be an issue anyway. I have a zero tolerance for someone lying to me and that will end my realtionship with said person immediately. Good Luck in your new venture and much success to you.

rollin cole you have a good point and i apreciate the input. i agree there is no reason to mess with a drivers pay and i donr and wont ,another thing is the wont be payed by household movers guide or map miles all will get paid by hub miles if the wheels turn you get payed.

i thank you for your input, and its not so hard not to have forced dispatch when you own the equipment. thanks again. southernpride

That's debatable . How many of these "real truck drivers" would you actually consider hiring ?

You may not hire english teachers, but if the wrong person reads into that wrong... you will be left hiring a lawyer...

I wasn't trying to put you down for grammatical errors. You can take it however you think I meant it, but that sounded sexist without the comma in it...
