Which brings up questions that lead to more questions, and off down the rabbit hole we go!
But i was sidelined last 6 months. I need to get some additional training in regards to the backing, perhaps smooth out a few issues here or there. Some of which i may even be aware of.
Not to "Bad Mouth" the company or even the trainer i had. It s what it is. Just the luck of the draw i guess?
The trainer i had? Was a lease operator on the backside of his lease. Decent guy i guess knows his business as a driver; just not of the trainer type. Simply lacks the temperament, patience, skill set for the job. He wanted me to stay on the truck with him as a team driver
In short the training i received qualified me to be a city-to-city, intestate night time (Whie he slept) driver.
Just because someone's a ###### Good or Outstanding driver,? Does NOT make nor mean they're a ###### good or outstanding TRAINER!TruckGal13 Thanks this. -
I wouldn't say anything about being sidelined.
On your test drive with a new company, just say, "I'm not used to driving such a nice truck."
It'll all come back to you quickly.TruckGal13, rachi, FlaSwampRat and 1 other person Thank this. -

Wait a minute gunny, when you had your accident and completed your rehab, did you have a license restriction place on your license?
If nothing is there, apply to different companies, smaller ones.
These megas (and those with the mega attitude) are horrible unless you are a saint driver.
See many of us do not use dac and if you went through rehab with little or no residue from the accident, it doesn't matter to your future employment, so you would be hirable. I have interviewed drivers like you and know it takes a little bit to get life back together after an accident.
As for your "training", well I assume you are a marine so what did they teach you in the marines?
You need to shed the trainer thing and be proactive on being a safe driver.
You can do this.Short Fuse EOD, x1Heavy, TruckGal13 and 6 others Thank this. -
Just redo the physical. Get one that's clean.
Short Fuse EOD, Gunny376 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I hated my trainer also. She was a total B. But on the bright side. She was also the best.
I can't imagine myself as a trainer. I don't have the patience to teach newbie after newbie after newbie.NavigatorWife, Gunny376 and Lepton1 Thank this.
