Starting school in a week. Need a short list of good companies to eventually solo out, and run 11 west. or 48.

Prefer Phoenix as a home terminal.

And, if thet do prehire letters thats even better, any ideas? Thanks. My MVR is clean as is Criminal history, credit is pretty jacked up at this point.

    Truck school paid for already.

Can relocate for the right job.

May is number one on my list just thought I'd look into others too. Also like Watkins.

Still do not know if I want dry or refer or what? Gues you have a little more miles with refer etc.

Don't know if I could hack the noise and the extra bother, on the other hand , no touch friegh
    does have its pros.

you'll hear/read bad things about all the starter companies. some worse than others. though swift pay is as low as every other starter company, they will teach you on what to do. you have to have alot of patience and a good attitude to make it in this industry. i worked for swift back in '97 for 5 months and had a great mentor then. after doing local for 15 yrs i went back to swift and just finished 50 hr refresher with a mentor who was nice to get along with. he just miss some things showing me what to do on some of the new things. swift gave me 4 yrs experience credit for pay.

May isn't a bad place to start. I worked for them right out of cdl school. Went 48 and averaged good miles. Some guys have a harder time getting miles, not completely sure why. They were a good starter company for me. Always had nicer equipment and what not. I moved on to something much better, however, don't regret my time there.
