As I was exiting the interstate yesterday, I had the "Check Engine" as well as the "Engine Warning" (amber engine) lights come on. When I pulled over and stopped, these were the codes that I had show up:
    Fault 1: Fail 19, 111 SPN, ENG 1
    Fault 2: Fail 18, 3556 SPN, EEC 61
    Fault 3: Fail 2, 522116 SPN, Cab 33

    2012 Freightliner Cascadia w/ DD15

Any assistance with this would be of great help and appreciation. My vehicle seems to still be running well, I just want to make sure that nothing MAJOR is wrong and I am good to keep pushing.

You should be able to call a dealer and get the meaning of the fault codes from their service department. In the mean time, I would make sure to check the water and oil levels. That is the first thing I check if I get a check engine light. If fluid levels are normal, I would look around for any loose connections on the wiring harness. Sometimes, just a connector that is not solidly connected can cause a problem.

    Daniel Long Thanks this.

    spn 111 coolant level low
spn 3556 regen temperature out of range
spn 522116 outside air temperature sensor
First check your coolant level. Seeing as these are all temperature related it could just be the outside air temp sensor.

spn 3556 could be first sign of going bad HC doser. here is the troubleshooting steps

way to thread hijack balam, cant you start your own?

I think the ambient air temp setting a code caused the regen temp code to pop up. I would disregard that until that code is fixed. the 111/1 code could be a leak externally, check around for that.

The ambient air temp sensor is in the drivers side mirror, its kind of crazy to take the mirror apart, if you have to let me know Ill send you the PDF procedure on how to. the ambient temp sensors go bad from time to time. It looks like you can fish it out through the convex, but don't risk breaking the convex, it will end up having to come apart if you do

This is an old thread but recently went through Fault 2: EEC 61 3556 SPN Fmi 18
As pointed out by mhyn this code points to the Hydro carbon HC doser block going bad. This is an expensive little unit to buy and on the tough side to replace as it sits towards the rear of the engine on the driver side.
    HC block.png
The HC doser block is a metering unit that sends diesel to an injector that sits after the turbo on the exhaust side of the engine. Diesel injected into the exhaust flow is what enables the temperature of the exhaust gas going into the aftertreatment box to go up for a regen to happen.

1st and easiest to do is to check your DOC inlet temperature sensors for proper resistance values as per the guide mhyn posted above to see if you have faulty temperature sensors. If these check out ok and you have access to detroit computer software, remove the HC (diesel) injector shown below and clean it. Be sure to look inside the hole where the injector sits. Poke around and clean the inside of this area of carbon build up that tends to build up and block injected diesel from reaching the exhaust gases and being carried away to the aftertreatment box hence preventing the temperature from rising, stopping a regen from happening. Code 061 spn 3713 31 poped up for me indictaing that a regen had been aborted due to temp not going up past a certain threshold within a specified time.
    20161102_121531.jpg 20161102_122351.jpg
After reinstalling and reconnecting the fuel line, perform a purge HC doser under service routines to purge the air out of the injector line and perform a regen. If sucessful your issue should be fixed if, if not and the code still persists then the doser block is faulty will have to be replaced.
Big thanks to Mhyn for the HC doser troubleshooting steps

Those temp sensors can be mounted by the front bumper on the frame of the radiator. Does your A/C work? If your outside temp is going bad, tour A/C will not turn on. I have seen temp sensor under neither the 5th wheel too alone the frame rail with the air lines and harnesses.
