Question, what are some good OTR companies to drive for that go to Florida a lot and allow dogs on the trucks? I'm looking to be a company driver for now. Thanks for the help!

Getting into Florida is pretty common.. getting freight out of Florida is almost impossible if its not orange juice or papertowels

Everyone says that, but we have 3 of the largest ports in the south in Florida. With the expansion of the Panama canal, our port traffic is expected to increase by leaps and bounds too. Plus, Florida is also a major cattle ranching state. Not sure how we rank now, but through the 1990s, and 2000s we were the 3rd largest cattle state in the US.

We haul a lot of petroleum products out of the Port of Tampa.

I believe it. Jacksonville used to get a lot of cars from overseas companies. Someone was just telling me that a new port organized shipping hub was being built in Labelle. To coordinate out of state shipments that are expected to increase. Dont know if it was BS or not.

There is a fair amount of outbound freight in Florida but it seems to be reserved for companies with trucks based out of terminals there. I have always come out of there loaded since being with current company. At the worst may have to run empty out of Miami to Tampa/Orlando area, but not unusual to load in Miami area.

My first choice would be Melton Truck Lines.

FFE because they have 2 terminals in Florida (Miami & Winter Haven).

I've seen a lot of Prime trucks along the I-4 corridor for orange juice loads.
