    2. No accidents, tickets, points

Due to medical issues, I've been off the road since 12 Feb of this year. I expect to be released by my M D. this coming Monday.

"Life is happens when you make other plans!" ~ John Lennon.

The Wife and I were in the process of moving to Mississippi to settle permanently about an hour and a half South of Jackson, Mississippi just off of I55, just North of the Mississippi ~ Louisiana line.

Without going into a great deal of detail? I got sidelined since February of this year. The Wife was staying and helping out with her daughter and five grandchildre in Mobile, Alabama while I was out cutting my spurs and earning my stripes as a truck driver.

When I got sidelined, I came here to Mobile. Circumstances NOW dictate that we'll be relocating to Western Mississippi this weekend south of Laurel, MS.

Short of it? I'm looking at my employment options. Although "technically" I'll have a year's experience under my belt come 6 August. (The date I was issued my CDL's ) I've been out of the seat since 12 February.

I could use some finishing training, especially when it comes to backing. I'm not crazy about the idea of teaming, tankers, flatbeds etc. But, I'm open to most anything. " Liking" doesn't have a whole lot to do with anything when you've got bills , and need money , right.

Sooooooo, Does anyone have an recommendations as to the names of any companies hiring in (a) Alabama, (b) Mississippi or (c) PREFERABLY BOTH.

I would be open to working in / off from home based out of either Mississippi or Alabama. Such as the oil fields or something along that line.

Any suggestions ~ Leads would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Gunny

I dont know what the oil field situation is in that part of the country, but you might look into running pneumatic. Pretty easy, pay is usually good.

We've got a bunch of drivers that are in their 60's and some even in their 70's runnin flatbed, but they've been doing it for decades. I wouldn't recommend getting into it being older. Im 37 and there are some days it kicks my butt.
