    Um... yea...

Thing is, Steve, you come to a forum seeking advice from seasoned professionals in the truck driving industry and then you spout off hatefully about possible responses to your inquiry. You do realize that most, if not all, the professional men & women drivers on this forum are going to tell you straight - they're not going to sugar-coat it to pacify you.

If your plans are to become a truck driver, may I suggest that you work on your negative attitude first? No reputable employer is going to hire someone (regardless of past mistakes) with a chip on his/her shoulder. If you wish to receive respect, one must first give respect.

i undertand you know you have made mistakes..and dont really want to be scolded for them anymore...but its true, you came on here seeking our advice...then get rude and ugly with us, and we are sup. to help you, why???

you could say, yeah i know i made mistakes, please dont judge me...but please help me....instead you acted rude...so no one is gonna wanna help....

even drivers that alrdy HAVE their cdl..and attend sap (substance abuse program)...still have trouble finding work...i know you said it was only paraphenila (sp)...but the evidence still points to drug use....

might wanna rethink your method of asking for help...altho, i doubt anyone can help you given your circumstances...

id aint gunna beat no body up , i was young and dumb and make a mistake , and as far as shareing drug's i used to smoke pot , after i got cought up with the pipe i stopped after the arresting officer made a good point to me about my life and the path i would be taking if i continued down that road , i find it funny that child molesters can get a CDL and a job and people with DUI's can go on the road as a CMO , but someone whos made the changes in life and been strait and sober cant? it wont stop me from achieving my dreams , itll just make it harder on me to do it

Well if we find anybody driving and molesting a child we can address that issue in house.

you can make mistakes and change ur life....as for child molesters...lets not go there....i dont put drug users in the same catagory as people who dont deserve to live....

honey, you need to get your chip off your shoulder...YOU made the mistake...not us...YOU came asking for advice, not us, surely you had to know it wouldnt be all roses...

if you really are sober and want to turn your life around, thats great...i wish you the best...but you cant go asking for advice with an attitude and expect to get help..

there are a ton of good folks on here, who have lots of good advice....you can walk away from here with a lot of good help....but a lot of it is what you bring to the table yourself...if you come in with an attitude and being rude, not that its right, but thats what you can expect back....

stay sober and do domething with your life...start by adjusting your attitude...the old sayin, you will catch more flies with honey than vinegar...well, its true...

There will always be those select people that can fall into a vat of ###### and come out smelling like a rose AND holding a fistful of money, that's just a part of life - it isn't fair, no, but it's life. You must learn to accept it and move forward.

You've made mistakes, you can't undo what you've done - you can only learn from those mistakes and move forward. You must first learn to let go of this negativity and self-loath. Stop blaming society and start accepting the fact that you have recent convictions on your record that may prevent you from moving any further into trucking - at least for now.

Use this time to read up on the industry, talk to truckers about their experiences and advice, read up on all the regulations & requirements mandated by the government and take those necessary steps of cleaning up your record and your outlook on life.
