So finished school almost a month ago and went straight to tmc, well while in orientation i had a family member pass away so had to leave a week into it. So now that the emergency has passed iam ready to roll, but iam looking into other compaines instead of tmc, so i have applied to several places. Here is where i need the advice. My wife has given me 1 yr to run as hard as i want. She is cool like that. So i found a company by my self that wants me to start on tuesday. Its a salary not mileage pay. Its 1550 a week salary before taxes. I leave sunday morning and return thursday morning every week. Its a small outfit with 6 drivers. They been in business 50 years. The company also pays insurance and has 401k and ins starts day one, after 6 mths u get 1 week vacation. It all sounds great. But question is, if u go with a different company and run 3 or 4 weeks staright at a time, as soneone just starting out will make more that 1500 a week or should i jump on this job.

Go for it. That is decent money no matter what your experience level is.

Half of Thursday, plus Friday and Saturday off every week - at the house is hard to find. Good benefits and pay also? Jump on it.

Yea its blue cross blue shield ins, the company pays for it, it covers my whole family, no deductible or copay for anything either, my friend said its very legit insurance and it starts day one of employment. Its the same route every week, leave kansas city sun at noon headed to dallas, deliver monday morning, 8am then head to el paso for 8 am deliver tues then head to tulsa for 8am deliver wed morning then Oklahoma 3pm wed afternoon. Then head to Wichita kansas for 8am delivery thursday. Then head back to kansas city and get there 11am. Route doesnt chamge. That is tbe route they told me i would be on, but all there drivers are back on thursday and leave out sunday no matter the route. Never any night delivery only between 8 and 5.

The only issue I can see is if you'll get bored running the same route all the time. Won't know unless you try it I guess.
