My wife will be graduating from US truck driving school in the first week of june and I know this is a very broad question but what OTR company out there has the best opportunity for new CDL grads? We have been to a recruiting seminar plus we have tried to do alot of research on the web but it seems like each company is good in one area and then another company is good in another area. I think that the only way to get the best start is to listen to the actual experiences of those who have been through this start up period. I will say that we found that USX has three times the women drivers of any other company or at least that is what they advertise on their site, over 1000 women drivers. From trainers to road time to cents per mile to benefits to ... get the picture? Its enough to make a excel spreadsheet shutter! Anyway, I guess I vented a little right there but if anyone has some good experiences to relay or even some info on companies to stay away from, it would be greatly appreciated.
Need some good advice!

I work for USA TRUCK, and have been solo for 1month. I went thru their training and had good trainers. I get good miles and started off # .25cpm. That's not great, but I had them pay for my school as well. I believe if you're wife already paid for the school they will start a non-experienced driver #.27cpm....Not 100%, but I believe so. I am liking it so far, and enjoying the road. Truch had A/C problems the terminal tried to fix, and couldn't so I had to get it thru a dealer after the weekend. Got it fixed and will be back on the road tomorrow. Any questions feel free to ask, and I'll be glad to help.

Folklore has it that USX has a lot of female drivers because their fleet is mostly auto-transmissions. Can't say that it is a fact, just heard.

I've heard the same, I have a friend that drives for usx and she totally loves them. She trained on an automatic but was issued a 10-speed after training. She goes to Canada at least twice a week as well, overall they seem pretty solid... on the other hand, from what I'm dealing with I'd honestly say stay away from Werner Heheh....

there is not really a solid answer to your question unfortunately.
there are too many variables that equate to ones experiences(think about it)
I had a great experience training and driving at USA for the most part, others not so much LOL
I can tell you this though, how you deal with adversity has a really big influence on what the experience will be like.
