Last week i had applied to two companies , carolina logistics and mayflower transit...carolina logistics called back right away, did my background check and everything came back good and set me up for a drug test....mayflower called this morning and i told em i would come talk to them when i come back from the road. ..i know mayflower is more physical and im ready for that, i was a mover for 8 years... since i didnt go to a school to get my CDL i dont think i have many choices to pick and choose from...so out of these two which one would u guys go to?? Where would i be better off at, just need some direction about which way to go

Doesn't Carolina Logistics set you up to be an owner-operator? Not that that's a bad thing at all; I'm just curious.

You would eventually transition into that but you start off as a company driver...im not trying to do any leases , just trying to get some experience

Probably have to supervise crews doing the loading & unloading with Mayflower. You know more about that than me since you were previously with a moving company.
Carolina Logistics runs coast to coast don't they?
Personally, I'd go with the one that has the longest runs. Some drivers prefer regional though.
Did you try any other companies? TransAm is pretty easy to get on with.

PI&I Motor Express is flatbed and Teamsters.
Nick Strimbu Inc. has flatbed division and Teamsters.
BT Express Global Services is small,20 or 30 trucks, flatbed outfit in Weatherford, Oklahoma
Jones Bros. Trucking is flatbed in Missoula, MT (small outfit)
Howard Transportation - flatbed 150 trucks

    Which state are you in?
