need some insite on maverick transportation

There are a bunch of threads on them. I am no longer a current driver with them, but still speak highly of them. That right there speaks great volume. Most truckers that used to work somewhere usually dog out the company. There are several current drivers on this site. I would read up on their posts. One thing you might need to know as I see a lot of newbies complaining. If you can't pass a road test in a auto trans or can't drive a few miles without hitting something you won't pass the road test.

A few years back they thinned the herd when freight got bad. All the drivers that had hit something 5 or 6 times or could not get decent fuel mileage after being routed in to attend classes were cut loose. Of course it was all the evil companies fault. If you like being told the truth (not always what you want to hear) and respected you will like them. If you like being paid for orientation and training also with bonuses like sign on, fuel economy etc. You will like them.

They are very selective of who they hire. Read up on the posters that went there. Even the ones that got canned spoke so highly of how great it was and how professional everyone was up right until the point they did something to get sent home. Then of course the company did this evil turn and all of a sudden they were messed up. I liked the one where the guy failed the road test in a automatic. Somehow the company became twisted. Then he was asking about TMC. I am thinking fail a road test in a auto and roll the dice on a 13 speed for a road test?
