i need some opinions on me and/or my trainer.
I am TNT training right now and I have been with my trainer for a week.
    These complaints aren't in order.
    1) we are in Florida right now and his apu stops working. We have some down time so we go to his sisters house. Doesn't bother to say how long we are going to be there or anything. He asks if I want to come in the house and I say no thanks I'm going to catch up on some sleep. It gets hot as a crotch and I can't sleep in that heat and I can't crack the windows because he complains about bugs. So about 3 o clock I call him and ask if we are gonna be there much longer, he simply says yes. I tell him his apu isn't working and it's too hot, do I have time to go to a movie and get some food? He says "oh yea, we are going to be here till 8 or 9pm". To me, that's disrespectful to not inform me about the plans. I get back around 8:30pm and no word from him. It finally cools off enough to sleep around 11pm. He finally gets in the truck at 1:30am. We have about 3.5 hours to our next destination. He woke me up after about an hour and a half because he couldn't drive because he didn't get any sleep. I get off the freeway at our destination and miss the turn because it is right after the freeway exit and it isn't lit very well. He get mad and starts cussing cuz we are now 10 minutes late even though we could have been 6 hours early if he wasn't up hanging out all night.
    2) apu isn't working. Then the cruise control quit working. Then the radio quit working. Then the air conditioner/heater/defroster quit working (I heard from you guys that is a violation). Then we start to go through a Florida rain storm and the windshield wipers don't work (I'm sure that is another violation). I ask if I should pull over or get off the freeway. He says "just drive slow, I can see thru the window so you can too". Then he tells me later that the city horn hasn't worked since 2weeks after he got the truck because "the Mexicans unhooked it"
3)he has me sleeping on the top bunk while he is driving. I learned from you guys that it isn't illegal but it's dangerous, eapecially without the restraints. He never mentions any of that to me.
    4) I'm asleep on the top bunk and all of a sudden I wake up because he is playing a jehovah witness cd pretty loud and the speaker is right next to my head. Another time I'm sleeping in the back and he picks up his brother and turns the stereo up really loud. No consideration. I know you can turn the speakers off in the back because I do it every time I drive so he can sleep
    5) I am on an off ramp and I'm not going slow enough so I push the breaks kind of hard. He gets up and tells me how bad that is and I understand I'm not mad about that. What I am mad about is that he proceeds to tell me that he has noticed that my breaking is kind of heavy. Why has he not said that to me when I was doing it before? Shouldn't he be telling me and teaching me right away?
    6) I woke up last night and he has his phone on the steering wheel and he was watching videos while he drove. I caught a photo of it but it is a crap photo
    6) I'm not sure this last one is even worth mentioning but tonight I heard him on the phone saying some very homophobic things.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. But I figure I've taken up enough of your time.
    My question is:
Should I request a new trainer or am I being too dramatic?
Thanks ladies and gentlemen, you have been very helpful on my last questions

So I'm not over reacting in thinking I should request a different trainer?

No, you're not over reacting. He's one of those guys that shouldn't be a trainer. He knows he has some power over you and is abusing it. Dump the trainer or dump the company.

Thull, JV_620, ExOTR and 4 others Thank this.

Thank you for the insight. I can't dump the company yet. They paid for schooling so I'm stuck in a contract with them. But if they treat me shady, I'll leave

Tell the company you want a new trainer because you're not getting any rest sleeping on the top bunk while the truck is moving. Say you want a trainer that allows the student to sleep on the bottom bunk while the truck is moving. That's all you have to do, and the problem is solved.

Thull, JV_620, ExOTR and 3 others Thank this.
