Hello Your useage of the word Crotch is too graphic for some.
Its hot in that truck and anyone who understands trucking will understand the effects of heat on the human body when there is a dead truck in heat of day. Your trainer knew this and invited you inside the home to get cool so you can rest, somewhere in a air mattress or something on the floor somewhere.
As far as trainer's failure to brief you on intentions with near future plans IF you make a habit of badgering him like a old woman then you are more than ready for your own truck. You can make your own plans.
Be very careful with racial references on this forum. Mods have a issue with that even if you made a basic statement that the mexicans unhooked that, or this or something else. People have a way of getting into a wad and jump down your throat about it. YOU might get unhooked savvy?
If the #### truck is dropping electrical appliances all over systematically, then get that thing to a shop asap. Nothing else matters until it's fixed. This also tells me that the pretrip gripe sheet that has to be filled out and signed is no good in that truck with no pre trips done and so forth. You are not being trained.
Don't sleep in the freaking upper bunk ok? I don't care what the law or policy says or don't say. Don't ride up there when in motion.
Im not going to address the religious music or content. You already stated you can turn off the speakers so there is nothing I can tell you. As far as picking up his passengers, family or not... So much for company policy regarding passengers and potential liability for un authorized passengers. I also believe there is actually a law requiring a proper seat for every soul present in a truck. For example if you had 4 students in a road trip truck, each student has a seat bolted to the frame and a seat belt rig plus airride on that thing individually working. That means no bunk in the road trip truck sleeper area to make room for the other three seats.
Your braking influences trucking in many ways. If you are a heavy breaker it's going to absolutely get you into trouble in the future. If you are on a 20 mph curve ramp and you apply too much brakes. YOUR traction will go bye bye right quick and you will slide off the ramp as a single mass in one direction, straight ahead. OR... jackknife quick with tractor first. You will be looking at your trailer's side wall before you realized what's going on and there is that car you are fixing to mash in about 3 seconds plus the intersection or ramp turn off in which you are fixing to be rolled over as soon those tires hit a triangle island curbing or some other obsacle to sliding.
To be a heavy braker is to be mentally late with the truck. You need to already take care of your heavy braking LONG before you hit that freaking ramp and be stable with a light touch on her all the way around. Late braking tells me you have been lazy and want to end the problem NOWW... sometimes it ends YOU. And anyone else in range of your rig's impact.
If your trainer is on the cell phone and watching movies or videos while freaking driving, what are you doing with him in there. YOU tell safety, show them the crap photo (That takes away the he said she said) and potentially get him fired.
Isnt that great? You will have a brand new trainer. Possibly one who is more professional and a better santa claus attitude to inject levity and humor into your over stressed trainee experience. Ho ho ho and all that jazz.
If you are personally offended by Homophopic things coming out of trainers mouth in your presence, then notify your Safety or Driver manager and let him or her know that those comments and voices or actions or both is totally unacceptable to you and falls potentially within the sexual harrasment policy in place at all companies. Im not going to question you on your own orientation, I can draw my own conclusions. We will either disagree or agree on that. SO... someone talking crap and you are offended? Give him the boot. Get out of that situation.
I think you are done trainee. You should be given your own truck.
Most trainees have no courage and will sit there and quietly endure the whipping until they are finally given a new truck. You are already making noises beyond what most trainees do or don't do and frankly I think you should be given your truck and have at it your way. I would like to see that trainer busted back to doolie and sent out with the oldest tractor in the fleet. Or fired.
Need some opinions on my trainer

Thank you for covering all of that heavy. I will watch what I say more closely. As far as the Mexicans statement, i was just quoting what he said.
And for the breaking, that was the first time I applied the break more than I should have. I know all the safety concerns and how important it is to leave yourself space and how terrible it would be to see my trailer next to me all of a sudden because of bad breaking. What was irritating is that if I was or wasn't, he never mentioned it to me when it was happening. Which makes me think that if I didn't make that mistake, would he have ever told me I was doing something wrong, and what has he not told me so far?
Again, thank you and I appreciate the thoroughness of your responseExOTR, G13Tomcat, Shock Therapy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Absolutely get a new trainer call dispatcher and safety and whoever else you got to do.. try to get as much evidence as you can cause this guy doesn't belong training... Most companies have a policy against riding I. Top bunk while in motion aswell as trainers taking students by there or family members houses.... I hear these horror stories all the time... Guess I was just lucky never had a problem with my trainer at CR England many did but guess I got one of the better of ones
.. only complaint would be they werent totally experienced but I suppose I sort of went into it expecting worse and was pleasantly surprised.truckerman75103 and x1Heavy Thank this. -

I used to run winter to winter. Then stay home warm and toasty (And a little bored) while society played on the ice and snow during rush hour. They can have all that. -
Once again can't stress enough calling everyone else you can get ahold of at your company.
. Many times people will turns blind eye cause it's not there problem but someone with some power is bound to care about the situation... ( Maybe that's hopeful thinking but what else we got in this world ehh)x1Heavy Thanks this. -

I would also avoid mentioning it to trainer and make sure you tell whoever you talk to you don't want an altercation with your trainer speak to them the right way with respect toward them but with a bit of backbone? Not sure how to put it... But you speak with them just the right way and they are more likely to help you
x1Heavy Thanks this.
