FatDaddy Thanks this.

You are correct. It is no longer restricted as I remember from years ago. Here are a few helpful links for the OP to look over to confirm whatever route he chooses is legal to travel.

Since your under 65 feet, the best ride to go back to I-81 will be take 29 to Route 6 West, Run Route 6 to Route 151 & turn right. Route 151 to U.S. 250 turn left. Go up Afton Mt. and at the top will be the entrance to I-64. From there you'll be 10 miles from I-81
The 501/130 route isn't bad but that route is narrow at times while meeting plenty of logging trucks from the paper mill.
Route 60 is a curvy roller coaster from 29 to Buena Vista while dodging log trucks.
Route 6 & 151 is pretty wide. -
I took 60....wasnt too bad, but wouldnt try it loaded.

Rt. 29N to 6W . Follow 6W/151N to stopsign. Then 250W to I64W to 81N. Good for 65` or less w/ light enforcement. Time wise this is the shortest route to continue on I81 north of mm220.
